If you think adults swearing at children, and children swearing at adults is funny, then this is the movie for you.
From a gay 13-year-old boy, to a celebrity-obsessed girl, and a neglected, toilet-exploding Salvadorian boy, these kids are not normal. But then again, neither is Noah (Jonah Hill).
Although there are kids in this movie, this movie is NOT FOR KIDS. It is not just a funny, heartwarming comedy about a babysitter taking care of some children. It’s a comedy for ADULTS ONLY, complete with sexual content, profuse swearing, alcohol and cocaine!! Just in case you thought otherwise, I repeat, IT’S NOT FOR KIDS.
The child actors in the film, Max Records (Where the Wild Things Are), Landry Bender and Kevin Hernandez (How I Spent My Summer Vacation) all do a terrific job in their roles. I wonder, though, as inappropriate as the movie is, were they allowed to see their finished product?
If you like the comedic stylings of Jonah Hill, and the directorial skills from Pineapple Express, then you will like this movie but please- LEAVE THE KIDS WITH A SITTER (but not Jonah Hill!!)
THE SITTER comes out in theatres on December 9.
So what did I think?
I wouldn’t want to pay $10.50 to go see this in theatres, but I would rent it on a Saturday night.
What do you think?
Will you see this movie? When you do, come on back and comment what you thought!
